    Shipping policy

    Processing & Handling
    Our processing for online orders is typically two to three business days. Items that weigh less than 150 pounds will ship ground. All items that weigh more than 150 pounds will ship freight via a semi-truck. These items will typically require liftgate, which means the carrier gets the item off of the semi or box truck at the end of the driveway. Any items listed as too large for liftgate will require pickup at a terminal or equipment to unload at a home or business.

    Freight Shipping
    We offer shipping and liftgate service for many purchases of eligible items to the lower 48 states. FREIGHT SHIPPING WITH LIFTGATE MEANS THE CARRIER LEAVES THE ITEM AT THE END OF THE DRIVEWAY INSIDE OF THE PROPERTY. If you order a freight item and you have a dock or equipment for unloading, please note that when checking out. If you prefer to pick up your item at a dock, please specify that as well. If you order a liftgate item and the freight carrier informs you they cannot liftgate the item, please contact us immediately. We will make alternate arrangements to get the freight to you.

    When you order a large item requiring freight delivery – which is most items over 150 pounds – please make sure you have entered your contact information correctly. All freight carriers require appointments for residential delivery. A carrier will need to reach out to you via the phone number and/or the email address you provide to set up the appointment. Carriers are chosen based on rates and delivery location.

    Reconsignment Fee
    Changes to the delivery address requested after the product ships will incur a $100 reconsignment fee.

    Freight Damage
    When you receive a freight item, please inspect it for damage before signing the delivery receipt. Many times, there may be damage to the packaging, but the item is completely intact. If there is damage to the packaging, please inspect the item and note that with the driver.

    If by chance, there is noticeable freight damage to the item itself. We ask that you please call us at 888-517-0372 and refuse the item. If you need help determining if an item should be refused, we are here to help. If an item is refused, we will be able to get another shipment coming your way right away, and we will work with the freight carrier to correct the situation.

    ALL DAMAGE MUST BE NOTED ON THE DELIVERY RECEIPT SO WE CAN FILE A CLAIM WITH THE FREIGHT COMPANY. IF YOU NOTICE DAMAGE AFTER RECEIPT, WE NEED TO KNOW WITHIN 4 DAYS OR FREIGHT DAMAGE ISSUES WILL NOT BE COVERED.

    Shipping to California
    Automowers and snow blowers can ship to California, however, many of the mowers we sell cannot be shipped to the state because they do not meet the emission standards of the California Air Resources Board (CARB).

    Shipping to Remote Locations
    Orders to some remote areas will require extra steps by carriers for delivery, incurring additional costs. In this case, someone from AE Outdoor Power will reach out to the customer.
